
About Dr. James V. Macri, DDS, MSD
Dr. Macri graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and a Master of Science Degree in Zoology. After teaching four years at North Central High School in Indianapolis, he entered Indiana University to pursue a career in dentistry.
Dr. Macri graduated with distinction from Indiana University Scholl of Dentistry and was elected to Omicron Kappa Epsilon honorary fraternity. He received his M.S.D. in Orthodontics from Indiana University. Dr. Macri is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the College of Diplomats. He also is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and also a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Macri taught at Indiana University Medical Center in the Oral and Maxillofacial Development Department of Orthodontics. As an Associate Professor, he taught Temporomandibular Dysfunction and Clinical Technique to the Orthodontic and Prosthodontic Residents. Dr. Macri regularly attends numerous courses in Temporomandibular Joint Disease and Treatment, Orthognathic Surgery, Biomechanical Techniques, and many other related lectures. In addition, he has collaborated on several articles in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics on the genetic implemication of root resorption.
Dr. Macri is originally from Mishawaka, Indiana. He and his wife Sandy have two sons. His son Christopher is a dentist in Denver, Colorado, and his other son Michael works in Information Technology while residing in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Macri and Sandy also own two dogs, Welsh Corgis, by the names of Archie and Samantha.
